ROSEBURG FIRE DEALT WITH TANKER FIRE AT GAS STATION

Crews with the Roseburg Fire Department dealt with a tanker fire at a gas station on Saturday afternoon.
Information from RFD said the fuel tanker was on fire at the Fred Meyer gas station. The tanker was carrying 11,400 gallons of gas and diesel. The fire was in the rear portion of the tanker and was believed to have been caused by the brakes.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using approximately 500 gallons of water and foam. The fire remained contained to the trailer, according to the RFD report.
