"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" ON STAGE THROUGH AUGUST 4TH

Umpqua Actors Community Theatre has “Beauty and the Beast” on stage through August 4th, in Jacoby Auditorium of Umpqua Community College.
The summer musical tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. The story goes that if the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. However, time is running out, and if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. The play is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature.
‘Beauty and the Beast” is performed Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:00 p.m. with Sunday afternoon matinee’s at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children up to age 12. They can be purchased by going to www.uact-theatre.com or by calling 673-2125.
