The 5^th annual Safety Day for Kids is Saturday at Costco, just north of Roseburg.
Mercy Medical Center’s ER and Trauma Department and Costco have partnered for the event which will be held in the store’s parking lot from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Safety Day will feature a Haz-Mat truck, fire truck, ambulance, life-flight helicopter, forest fire truck, K9 unit and much more. Bubba Petty, Mercy’s Trauma Program Coordinator said that “keeping our children healthy and safe is important to Mercy and our Douglas County partners”. He said the safety day is a great opportunity to share safety knowledge information in a family-friendly environment.
