A Roseburg man was jailed on drug charges and for a number of warrants that were out for his arrest on Tuesday.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at 8:40 p.m. officers attempted to contact 29-year old Christopher Hastings at Walmart regarding a possible theft case and for the warrants.
The man spotted police and allegedly took off running. After a foot pursuit, officers cut him off with a vehicle and tackled him to the ground. The man was arrested and reportedly found to be in possession of both methamphetamine and heroin.
Hastings is being held without bail.
