ASLEEP DRIVER CAUSES A REAR-END WRECK ON HIGHWAY

A driver that said they fell asleep at the wheel, caused a two-vehicle accident on Highway 138 East on Monday afternoon.
Information from Oregon State Police said at 4:45 p.m. the first motorist, a 20-year old man, was eastbound on the road, about nine miles east of Roseburg. The driver said he saw a second vehicle coming up behind him and thought it was going to pass him, but instead, the vehicle ran into the back of his vehicle.
The vehicle hit had minor rear-end damage while the second vehicle had heavy front- end damage. No one in either vehicle was hurt.
The driver that caused the wreck, a 17-year old woman, was cited for careless driving.
