More wineries have joined the Pouring Generosity campaign from the Umpqua Valley Wine Growers Association to help the food bank program of the United Community Action Network.
An update from UCAN said the goal of the two-month campaign in July and August is to raise $15,000 to help support the Douglas County Emergency Food System. While some wineries are donating tasting fees, others are donating a certain amount of money for every bottle of wine, or every case of wine purchased. Some of the wineries are donating a portion of the proceeds from special events being held.
Sarah McGregor, UCAN Food Bank Manager said she appreciates the campaign. McGregor said if the goal is reached, nearly 10,000 meals will be able to be provided for people in need. As part of the Oregon Food Bank statewide network, UCAN has more buying power when it comes to food. For every $1 contributed, UCAN can purchase 3 meals or roughly 4 to 5 pounds of food.

Paul O’Brien	Donating $5 from every case special purchased
Trella Vineyards	Doanting proceeds from Wednesday Trivia Nights
Triple Oak Vineyard	Donating 50¢ for every bottle purchased

Other participating wineries include Delfino Vineyards and Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyards & Winery.
