DIAPER DEPOSIT DAYS IN JULY

July 1, 2019 5:30 a.m.
This month participating banks and credit unions are working together to collect diapers and wipes for children at the Family Development Center.
A release from the FDC said that diapers and wipes are a constant and essential need for babies. The FDC works with families who have children up to age 5, which is the most vulnerable age for abuse and neglect. Many of those families live below the federal poverty level and face extreme challenges every day, according to the release. Every month the Family Development Center provides 100’s of diapers.
Customers of local banks and credit unions are encouraged to bring in diapers size 3 to 6, and wipes. The release said that will make a “huge investment” in the lives of high-risk infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in the county.
Call the Family Development Center at 673-4354 for more information.
