One driver was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle accident on Thursday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said at approximately 7:45 a.m. an SUV was stopped at the intersection of Highway 42 and Brockway Road near Winston. The driver attempted to cross the highway and did not see a second SUV. The vehicles collided in the middle of the east bound lane and the second SUV then struck a school bus which had stopped on the other side of Brockway Road.

The bus was occupied by a driver and 10 students. The driver of the second SUV, a 79-year-old man, was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. Two children on the school bus were checked out by medical and were released on scene. Both SUVS were towed from the scene while the school bus was able to be driven away. The OSP report does not indicate if any citations were issued.
