A Frost Advisory is in effect for a wide area of southern Oregon through 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation.

The Advisory area includes the Umpqua, Cow Creek, Illinois, and Applegate valleys in central Douglas, Josephine and Jackson counties. In Douglas County, it applies to the communities of Roseburg, Sutherlin, Myrtle Creek, Glendale, Elkton, Drain and Winchester.

Forecasters said frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Those plants may be killed if left uncovered.
