Northbound Interstate 5 Winchester bridge lane closures begin on Wednesday as a project continues in that area.

An Oregon Department of Transportation release said the project will repair both freeway bridges, resurface the travel lanes, reconstruct joints, upgrade bridge rails, and add protective screening.

Intermittent lane closures will take place at night, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. for maintenance repair work. This northbound work is scheduled to continue until November 4th. No work is scheduled in the southbound direction until November.
