The American Red Cross is urging residents to donate blood this fall.

A release said the need for blood and platelet donors remains constant. Those who give through October 18th will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice.

Donation opportunities in Douglas County include:

*October 13th from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on West Bertha Avenue in Roseburg.

*October 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Reedsport High School on Longwood Drive.
