Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged DUII incident on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said just after 8:20 p.m. officers responded after a hit and run incident was called in at the intersection of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard and Northwest Aviation Drive. The victim claimed his vehicle was hit by a pickup which then fled the scene. A witness followed the vehicle to a residence in the 3000 block of Slope Street.

Officers responded and located the pickup, which was parked in the driveway. Officers ultimately arrested 22-year-old Lucas Doolittle, who showed signs of impairment. Doolittle asked to speak to an attorney and was taken into custody without incident. Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for Doolitte’s blood and later received two vials.

Doolittle was charged with a felony count of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, three counts of reckless endangering, failure to perform the duties of a driver, and for a probation violation. Bail was set at $5,000.
