The Douglas County OSU Extension Office invites the community to attend Lunch & Learn: Invasive Threats, Native Beetles, and Drought Stress, on Friday, November 13th at 12:00 p.m.

An extension release said this session will explore how native forest insects combined with severe drought and other abiotic stressors drive tree decline and mortality. The event will also take a look at the looming threat of the Emerald Ash Borer and the Mediterranean Oak Boarer, two invasive species not yet found in Douglas County but which can be found in many other Oregon counties. Native insects, like the Flatheaded Fir Borer will also be a topic.

The workshop is $10 per person and will be held at the Douglas County OSU Extension Office at 1134 Southeast Douglas Avenue, next to the courthouse. Registration is required and closes November 6th. Lunch is included with the registration.
