A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday evening.
An Oregon State Police report said shortly before 6:00 p.m. a trooper was dispatched to the accident in the 2300 block of South Umpqua Road in the Tiller area. The operator was transported by Reach Air Ambulance prior to the trooper’s arrival. Fire personnel said the man had no recollection of what had happened. It appeared the motorcycle left the roadway in a sharp corner and made impact with a tree. The motorcycle had minimal damage and there was no evidence that other vehicles were involved. There were no known witnesses to the crash. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
