The Douglas Forest Protective Association scheduled more prescribed burns for this week.

DFPA Public Information Officer Rachael Pope said the permits are issued to landowners to conduct prescribed burns on their own property. Pope said DFPA is the permitting agency and is not conducting the burns themselves.

The schedule includes ignition times and locations around the area.

*Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of Gazley Road in the Myrtle Creek area.

*Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Old Town Road in Oakland.

*Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the 1300 block of Fairway Drive in the Myrtle Creek area.

*Friday at 12:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Joelson Road in Umpqua

*Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the 200 block of Chadwick Land in Myrtle Creek

*Friday at 1:00 p.m.in the 8000 block of Tiller Trail Highway

*Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the 1000 block of Glenbrook Loop in Riddle

Smoke will be visible from the area of each of the burns.
