Overnight paving on Southeast Stephens Street in Roseburg will begin on Sunday, September 20th, and continue through Wednesday morning, September 23rd, affecting traffic entering the downtown area.

A city release said the city’s contractor will pave Southeast Stephens Street from the southern city limits near the Parrott House to Southeast Brockway Avenue. Work is scheduled for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, generally from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night.

Motorists entering downtown through the work area should expect delays and detours. Traffic exiting downtown will not be affected.

Drivers are encouraged to allow additional travel time, follow posted detours and traffic-control directions, and use caution around crews and equipment.
