ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING ALLEGED TRESPASS INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged trespass incident early Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said at 3:20 a.m. officers responded to the Oregon Department of Transportation office in the 3500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after callers said a man was trespassing inside a fenced in parking after and attempting to get into vehicles. Officers contacted 39-year-old Steven Gant who stated that he had been looking for a place to stay for the night. Gant was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal trespass, unlawful entry into a vehicle and for a parole violation. Bail was set at $1,250. Gant was released later in the day.
