Crews with the Douglas Forest Protective Association and other agencies dealt with a two-acre fire in the Green District on Tuesday afternoon.

Information from DFPA said just after 4:30 p.m. the agency along with Central Douglas Fire & Rescue, Roseburg Fire Department, Sutherlin Fire Department, Lookingglass Rural Fire District, and the Myrtle Creek Fire Department were dispatched to a natural cover fire near the 200 block of Dodson View Road, just off Roberts Creek Road.

Upon arrival, crews found the vegetation fire moving slowly uphill. Firefighters took immediate action and were able to quickly knock down the forward spread of the fire and transition it to mop-up status.

The fire has been determined to be human caused, with specific details remaining under active investigation. No homes or structures were threatened by the fire.
