A quiet weather week is expected in the Umpqua Valley with gradually warming temperatures.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that low pressure in the region will keep afternoon high’s near to slightly above seasonal norms. High pressure is expected to build in later in the week, with temperatures moving up to the mid 80’s.

The mercury reached 69 degrees on Saturday and 67 degrees on Sunday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That is well below the normal high of 81 degrees for this part of September.
