ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE MAN FOR WEAPON VIOLATIONS, PAROLE VIOLATION

Roseburg Police charged a man for weapon violations and parole violation on Thursday morning.

An RPD report said officers received information that 44-year-old Jason Kelemen was in possession of at least one firearm and a large amount of fentanyl. Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for Kelemen’s tent at the Umpqua Greenway in the 500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. During the service of the search warrant, the suspect was not present. Officers located two pistols and drug packaging and scales. Keleman was later located and detained without incident. A detainer was authorized.

Keleman was charged with two felony counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
