A high-pressure system building into the region will lead to warmer weather through Thursday in the Umpqua Valley.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that conditions will be near normal on Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 80’s. Temperatures will peak on Wednesday, jumping nearly 10 degrees to the low 90s. On Thursday, highs will be back to the mid 80’s before a low-pressure system drops highs to the mid 70’s starting on Friday. There is a chance of rain on Saturday, with a possible chance of thunderstorms as well.

The mercury reached 77 degrees on Monday at the Roseburg Regional Airport.
