Sutherlin Police Chief Troy Mills swore in a new police captain on Wednesday.

Mills said new Captain Dennis Chrisenbery started his law enforcement career at the Winston Police Department in 1998. Chrisenbery recently retired from the Roseburg Police Department after 25 years of service.

Mills said Captain Chrisenbery brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to SPD and he is excited to have him join the department.
