ROSEBURG GETS NEARLY AS MUCH RAIN ON WEDNESDAY AS IN ALL OF JUNE

Roseburg got nearly as much rain on Wednesday as in all of June.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the Roseburg Regional Airport measured 0.47 inches of rain. For the entire month of June, the airport received 0.48 inches of precipitation. It was also the biggest single-day rainfall so far this summer. Previously that distinction was held by June 26th, when 0.18 inches of rain was measured.

Forecasters said light rain is expected Thursday with the chance of precipitation continuing through Sunday.

Roseburg had a high temperature of 63 degrees on Wednesday. That is nearly 20 degrees below the normal high for this week in September, which is 84 degrees. High temperatures will gradually increase over the next few days with the potential to have highs of 80 degrees or above starting on Labor Day.
