The Roseburg City Council will continue working on hiring a new city manager as part of its meeting on Monday night.

The council will meet in Executive Session, which is not open to the public, to consider the employment of a public officer. City of Roseburg Communications Specialist Devon Carroll said the process of seeking a city manager is moving forward, but no decision will be made during the meeting, to necessitate a public vote.

Six candidates were unveiled in an open house on August 4th. City staff have not released any information as to where the process has gone since then.

During the meeting the council will also vote on awarding a bid for storm damage repair to fix a culvert in the 1700 block of Southeast Mill Street, which was damaged during the March 2025 floods. Councilors will receive an update on the immigration-related training given to Roseburg Police Department officers.
