Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported criminal mischief incident on Saturday morning.

An RPD report said at 7:30 a.m. officers contacted the 31-year-old at a business in the 1900 block of Southeast Stephens Street after callers said the suspect had broken a waterspout. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and saw the man had damaged the waterspout after obtaining water. He did not have permission to obtain services from the business.

The man was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and theft of services. Bail was set at $7,500.
