TRANSIENT INJURED IN SINGLE-VEHICLE MOTORCYCLE CRASH

A transient was injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:00 p.m., while going around a sharp corner on North Bank Road near Sable Drive, the 33-year-old said a bird flew in front of him, causing him to hit his brakes. The man lost control of the motorcycle and drove off a 30-foot embankment. He was injured in the crash and was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. The man’s friends recovered his motorcycle.
