Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge of third-degree robbery on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said just before 4:00 p.m. the 34-year-old allegedly entered a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and demanded that the cashier give him all the money in the cash register. The suspect then reportedly went behind the counter while continuing to demand the employee give him money and then allegedly pushed the employee while trying to get to the cash register.

The employee then reportedly pushed the suspect away from the register, causing him to run from the store. Officers located the suspect in the parking lot when they arrived on the scene and took the man into custody. After arraignment, bail was set at $10,000.
