Saturday afternoon crews with Camas Valley Rural Fire District responded to a report of a fire in the area of Camas Valley Road in Camas Valley.
A CVRFD post said the fire was located approximately two miles up Bureau of Land Management roads. Units arrived on scene to find a fire located just off a gravel road. The fire was approximately 1/100th of an acre.
Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the fire, then remained on scene for approximately ninety minutes conducting mop-up operations to ensure all remaining hot spots were extinguished.
Two CVRFD brush trucks responded along with a tender and an engine, with seven volunteer firefighters.
