ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR RESTRAINING ORDER VIOLATION

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Wednesday evening.

An RPD report said at 6:00 pm. officers stopped a vehicle for an expired registration in the 900 block of Northeast Stephens Street. During the traffic stop, officers learned the 38-year-old man was suspended at the violation level. It was also determined that he was a respondent in a restraining order, and that the petitioner was a passenger in the vehicle. Dispatch confirmed the active restraining order, and the man was taken into custody.

He was also charged with a parole violation and detained on $5,000 bail.
