After operating for 42 years, Gilberto’s Mexican Restaurant in Roseburg has announced the upcoming permanent closure of the business. A social media post said that Gilberto Duarte Sr. will be embarking on a well-deserved retirement with his son, Gilbert Jr, by his side. The announcement said, “Thank you for your support over the years”.

While earlier planning to say open until May 15th, Gilbert Duarte Jr said that this Sunday – Mother’s Day – is now the last day the restaurant will be in operation. Gilberto’s Mexican Restaurant is located at 1347 Northeast Stephens Street.
