Roseburg Police jailed a man Monday for an alleged recent theft.

An RPD report said at 5:30 p.m. officers contacted the 39-year-old after they observed him riding a bike that had been recently stolen, in the 2100 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers also found that the man had a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections.

The man was charged with second-degree theft and for the warrant. Bail was set at $16,250.
