ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE MAN WITH UNLAWFUL ENTRY/COMPUTER CRIME

Roseburg Police charged a man already in jail with unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and other charges, on Saturday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:40 p.m. officers contacted 31-year-old Nicholas Artherholt regarding a previous theft case. During that incident, Artherholt allegedly entered a sedan and stole a bag containing several items valued at over $100 and a few debit and credit cards. After committing the theft, the man reportedly used the debit and credit cards to purchase VISA gift cards. Artherholt was interviewed and admitted to doing son.

The man was charged with five counts each of computer crime, identity theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, and second-degree theft. Along with other cases the man was held for, he was jailed on a total of twenty-three charges and was detained without bail.
