Roseburg Police jailed a man on charges of prohibited camping, prohibited weapons in a park and for a probation violation on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 8:35 a.m. officers observed 47-year-old Michael Fiedler at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. Fielder was in a location where camping is prohibited at all times. The man had five prior convictions for prohibited camping.

Fielder was also allegedly found with a small shovel, cutting shears and a small CO2 powered BB gun pistol near his camp. All of those items are always prohibited in parks. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. Fiedler was detained on $10,000 bail.
