Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged assault incident on Tuesday afternoon.
An RPD report said at 5:10 p.m. multiple people called dispatch and advised that a man had pushed a victim down to the ground. This reportedly took place at Eagle’s Park in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street. Callers also advised that the victim was complaining of a possible dislocated shoulder.
Officers contacted the 50-year-old suspect nearby in the 900 block of Southeast Lane Avenue and detained him without incident. Paramedics advised that the victim did more than likely have a dislocated shoulder from the incident. Officers later watched a video from city cameras and observed the suspect shove the victim onto the concrete at Eagle’s Park.
The man was charged with fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,750.
