For the first time, NAMIWalks Douglas is coming to Roseburg.

A NAMI release said residents across the region are invited to be part of the milestone event, joining thousands nationwide in the country’s largest mental health awareness movement.

This year’s theme is “Together we are NAMIWalks”. Every step taken and every dollar raised fuels Nami Douglas’ free programs, advocacy and support services – making a lasting difference for the 1 in 5 who experience mental health conditions each year.

NAMIWalks Douglas will begin in the courtyard between the courthouse and the Justice Building on Southeast Douglas Avenue in downtown Roseburg on Saturday May 16th. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Registration is easy at: www.NAMIWalks.org/Douglas. There is no registration fee, but fundraising is encouraged.
