Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 3:00 p.m. the 30-year-old was contacted near the intersection of Northeast Winchester Street and Northeast Nash Street on a past case of violating a restraining order. The suspect admitted to contacting the protected person. He was taken into custody and detained on $5,000 bail.

The man was released later in the day.
