ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING HIT AND RUN INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a hit and run incident on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. officers responded to the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Newton Creek Road after a caller said his vehicle had been rear-ended while he was stopped at the intersection. The other driver, identified as 44-year-old Shiloh Jordan, reportedly left the area after refusing to provide any information, leaving behind his license plate.

After further investigation, officers contacted Jordan and learned that he had been drinking during the incident. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where a legal blood draw was taken. Jordan was then transported to corrections.

He was charged with three counts of driving under the influence of intoxicants, two counts of reckless driving, driving while suspended or revoked, recklessly endangering another person, failure to perform the duties of a driver with property damage, tampering with evidence and for a warrant. Jordan was cited for driving uninsured.

Jordon was detained on $46,250 bail.
