Roseburg Police jailed a man Thursday for a prior stolen vehicle incident and for warrants.

An RPD report said at 11:00 a.m. 26-year-old Christian Sherman was contacted at a business in the 200 block of Grant Smith Road in the Green District regarding an incident from April 9th. At that time, Sherman was reportedly observed on camera stealing a sedan out of the parking lot of a business in the 2400 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Sherman admitted to taking the vehicle and he was placed into custody without incident.

He was also found to have several warrants for his arrest. The warrants were confirmed. Sherman was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first degree theft and for the warrants. Bail was set at $15,000.
