The Riddle School Board has announced that a contract for superintendent of the district has been offered to Erika Dockweiler.

Dockweiler is currently the Director of Student Services at the La Grande School District in northeastern Oregon. She has worked in that district since September of 2021. Previously, Dockweiler was superintendent and elementary principal in the Enterprise School District, elementary principal in the Winston-Dillard School District, elementary teacher, literacy coach and instructional consultant in Lebanon, and day treatment supervisor for St. Mary’s Home for Boys in Beaverton.

The district announcement said there were 24 completed applications for the position. The board interviewed 3 finalists on April 8th. Dockweiler will assume the duties of superintendent beginning on July 1st.

Dan Forbess has been the interim superintendent for the Riddle School District since November of last year. He assumed the position following the passing of Superintendent Dave Gianotti, who died in September, after 21 years of service.
