MUSIC IN THE PARK ANNOUNCES 39TH YEAR OF FREE CONCERTS

In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Music in the Park in Myrtle Creek has announced the lineup for its 39th year of free concerts. Shows are held on Thursday nights at Millsite Park from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This year the series is dedicated to the memory of Lauren Young and will feature:

*July 9th: That Other Band with R&B, funk, soul and more

*July 16th: Coleen & Co. with Motown, blues-rock, blue-eyed soul and more

*August 6th: Bump in the Road playing modern day pop country rock

*August 13th: Eddy Ross Band performing contemporary country music

*August 20th: Broadway Phil & The Shouters playing the blues

*August 27th: Moon Mountain String Band and instrument petting zoo with a blend of traditional bluegrass roots with a “newgrass” flair

Ample parking is available. Dogs are allowed to attend if kept under control and cleaned up after. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Food vendors are both on-site and nearby.
