ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE WOMAN WITH FOURTH-DEGREE ASSAULT

Roseburg Police charged a woman with fourth-degree assault following an incident on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said shortly after 6:00 p.m. officers contacted the suspect and the victim after both of them called dispatch to say they were in a disturbance. Officers spoke with the 48-year-old woman whose account of the events were inconsistent with the man’s injuries.

During the disturbance, the woman allegedly bit the man on the lip, which caused a large laceration. The victim had to be transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for his injuries. The woman was taken into custody without incident. Bail was set at $6,250.
