Roseburg Police jailed a man following a trespass incident at Garden Valley Church of Christ on Monday morning.

An RPD report said at 8:50 a.m. officers responded to the 1300 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after information came in that a man was refusing to leave the property. Officers contacted 43-year-old Andrew Atterbury and attempted to detain him. During that time, Atterbury allegedly resisted arrest and struck an officer in the face with a closed fist and kicked another officer in the groin.

Atterbury was charged with assault on a public safety officer, resisting arrest, second-degree counts of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct and for harassment. He was detained without bail.
