One driver was hospitalized after a two-vehicle highway wreck on Sunday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said shortly before 4:30 p.m. troopers responded to a rollover crash on Highway 42 at the intersection with Strickland Canyon Road in the Tenmile area. A sports car was traveling eastbound when a pickup pulled into its lane of travel when going through the intersection.

The right front corner of the pickup contacted the rear left quarter panel of the sports car, causing it to fishtail. The driver of the sports car lost control and the vehicle flipped, traveling back across the westbound lane before hitting a tree and coming to an uncontrolled stop upside down in a ditch. The driver of the car had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported by ambulance to CHI Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. The sports car sustained major damage and was towed from the scene. The second motorist was uninjured and sustained minor damage.

The driver who caused the wreck was given a citation or warning, according to the OSP report.
