April 9, 2026 9:50 a.m.

A Riddle man was cited after a pursuit incident on Wednesday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 2:00 p.m. a deputy observed two dirtbikes turn onto Main Street from Third Avenue in the Riddle area and head east on Main Street where the deputy was parked. Two riders passed by the deputy when he initiated a traffic stop.

The riders turned up Glenbrook Loop and started to create distance. The 35-year-old man pulled over but the other rider continued at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was terminated and the deputy saw the other rider continue past a locked timberland gate on Council Creek. Deputies stopped the first man and he was cited and released for a criminal count of driving while suspended.
