Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft incident on Monday evening.

An RPD report said at 7:00 p.m. the 40-year-old was contacted after he allegedly agreed to sell a stolen disc gold bag full of discs in the 400 block of Northeast Stephens Street. The man denied knowing that the bag was stolen and claimed he bought it from someone nearby for $30. The bag and discs were worth approximately $300.

The man was charged with first-degree theft and was detained without bail.
