An Oakland man was jailed following a reported elude incident on Sunday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 5:30 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near Eagle Valley Road and Exit 151 of southbound Interstate Five, just north of the Drain and Yoncalla exit in north county. The driver attempted to elude and ended up making it to a residence in the 200 block of Lower Crest Road.

The 60-year-old driver was known to the deputy and was placed into custody. He was charged with attempting to elude a police officer and for driving while suspended-misdemeanor. The man was detained without bail.  –
