Roseburg Police cited a woman for dog issues on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 10:20 a.m. while posting camps in the Umpqua Greenway in the 500 block of Northeast Stephens Street, a large dog exited a tent and approached an officer aggressively. The dog attempted to bite the officer, so a taser was deployed, which was successful. The dog ran off. The owner of the dog, a 26-year-old, exited the tent and stated that the dog was tied up, but may have chewed through the leash.

The woman was cited for a dog leash law violation and having an aggressive dog.
