A big dose of high pressure is moving into the Umpqua Valley Friday, bringing sunshine and warm weather for Easter weekend, with afternoon high temperatures well above normal.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s Friday, mid-70s on Saturday and around 80 degrees for Sunday. The normal high temperatures for this part of April are in the lower 60s. Weekend highs will still be several degrees below the record high temperatures for those dates.
Thursday’s high temperature at the Roseburg Regional Airport was 54 degrees.
