HELP PLAN ROSEBURG LIBRARY’S SUMMER READING PROGRAM

March 31, 2026 3:30 a.m.

Planning is underway for Roseburg Public Library’s Summer Reading program.

A city release said it will run from June 1st through August 22nd with the theme, “Plant a Seed, Read”

Library staff are asking readers to help make some big decisions by completing a survey.

Adults can weigh in on three types of incentive programs, starting with prompts, which is the program the library has offered for the past several years. The second option is Summer Reading-opoly with the third possibility being an option for participants to log their reading time.

Kids and teens are invited to share ideas for a grand prize. The only guideline is that it must cost between $100 to $250.

To vote, go to www.roseburgpubliclibrary.org and click on the 2026 SRP Survey. Responses are required by Saturday, April 11th

Youth Services Librarian Aurora Ropp is planning a fun-filled schedule of summer reading events, including the annual Harry Potter Day from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25th. The full schedule of events will be posted on the library’s website by Tuesday, May 12th.
