The Revolutionists opens onstage at Umpqua Actors Community Theatre on Thursday night.

The production is described as a bold, clever, comedic, and poignant play set during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror. It opens with an unlikely meeting between four real and fictional women: a playwright, an assassin, a Haitian rebel and Queen Marie Antoinette. Despite their wildly different backgrounds, they find unexpected common group in their shared pursuit of justice, truth and lasting impact.

Performances are on Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. through April 19th. Tickets are $17 for adults.
